Some pictures of our little man....

Spring get here already!! Can you believe that there was snow covering my car this morning when I went to work....I know that in Ohio we should still be used to snow but this year has spoiled us =)

Deonta started school this week and also has been working second shift. It makes for a LONG day! Things have been pretty frustrating because of all the user names and password that they have given him but I know that he can do it. College is no easy task and I give propts to anyone that gets through it. Just pray for him...it has to be hard to get back into school when you have been out so long!

Little Deonta is doing really well at his new babysitters! He seems to be very happy! He also is sleeping really good at night which is good for me =) He STILL has a cold (it has been going on forever) and he also has an ear infection. He is on antibiotics so hopefully that will clear it up. He won't eat very much though and is tired (probably because he is doped up on tylenol)! So he needs your prays too....

I am starting a new job soon at United McGill. It is only 8-12 M-F and it is right near our house! It will be so nice to get to see little Deonta more... Deonta works his butt off so that I can have this luxury =)

The news about my Dad is NOT GOOD!!! He has pancreas cancer, however, it has spread pretty much every where else as well. We are still waiting for his platelets to get back up so he can have some more test and biopsies done. He seems to be in good spirits, he just doens't feel good and needs to be on serious pain medication. I heard today that he took a jar of tomato juice to work with him because his medication makes him sooooo thirsty. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, as him and our entire family defintely need them!

I can't believe that it is March already, this time last year was when we found out we were having a little boy =-) Things are still a little crazy but soon hopefully things will return to normal (whatever that is).

Little Deonta started crawling last Friday, I am afraid that I am going to have to make a trip to Target and get all the safety features I can buy. He already tries to pull the plugs out of the wall in the kitchen! He also has started a new smile...he sqeezes his eyes shut and then smiles really big. He thinks it's hilarious! Last night in the bathtub he just kept sqeezing his eyes and then laughing histarically! It has been really hard for me to go to work lately because I just want to stay home with him!! Deonta also has a new babysitter. Tom has started a new job with more hours, so they recommened the babysitter they take their girls to. Her name is Ida and she only lives a street over from where Tom and Christy live so it is not that much further for Deonta to take him and pick him up. He seems to be adjusting well and I heard that yesterday he made friends with a little 9 month old. Ida said that the two were just talking back in forth to one another in their jibberish. I sure wish I had been there to see that!! Awww I am missing him right now...

Big Deonta starts on second shift this next week and on the 13th starts classes at DeVry University. He is really excited and has practically been there all week due to registration and orientation. He even went and bought his books the other day and I know he can't wait to get started. It's alot of work but I know he has it in him.

We got some really really discouraging news last week. My dad hasn't been feeling well that past few months (I just thought he was getting old), but he went in for a MRI last week and then the doctor called and said that he needed a bone scan. He went in... well they think he has CANCER! That was the last thing I expected! I was extremelly upset and have been praying every day since. My dad has had a series of tests this week that will continue through next week so in about a week and half we should know what kind of cancer he has and how bad. It's really sad, but I also think that it is releaving for my dad to know what is going on and that he's not just crazy. So pray... because we need it!!

Pray for my mom as well, she is the strongest person I know. She has alot on her plate right now and she still has a smile on her face. I really don't know where she finds her energy. Good thing she has God!

On a lighter note my sister and her roomate Leslie, are coming up for the weekend. It's going to be a full house because as far as I know my brother and Mark (our brother from another mother) (lol) are coming too! I don't know where we are going to find the room! It should be really fun and I am going to make lots of good food tonight so we can just sit, eat, and drink!! (Ok let's be real... I am not going to drink...I have ruined every kind of alcohol in the past, I will just be watching everyone else drink). Well gotta get to work! I will post some new pictures soon , if I ever remember to actually get my film developed!
